This building is unique as it allows passive cooling methods to keep the hostel rooms of students cool in summers while using the typical construction materials of Concrete and brick. The building comprises of double row of rooms placed on both sides of the corridor and then each building placed close to each other so as to allow them to shade each other. The narrow space in between enhances winds which in term keep the rooms well ventilated.
